I've always been into computer gaming and tabletop games. I played a lot of Pokemon Magic gathering and all that. And then on computer, I would just play everything like I was early into Diablo. and then I went into Warcraft RTS games and then World of Warcraft. So I was just always a huge gamer.

No, I still have a counts though for like magic, the Gathering online. I used to play that a lot, so I had a bunch of cards there, but physical cards that are all gone since I moved from the east coast to the west coast. They're actually still over there and probably in the basement somewhere rotting and gaining value at the same time.

So just heavy into playing games and the whole digital aspect of collecting things. When you played like Diablo two and World of Warcraft, I guess that just resonated with me and stuck with me. And once you got into the N F T space is basically the same thing, but you're throwing bucks out instead of digital money. Right?

So what do you enjoy the most about kind of the web three or NFT space or crypto as a whole?

It's pretty cool. But when I first got into it, it was from a coworker touting how cool n b a top shot was. And I had no idea what an N F T was at the time. It's the hell is this? You're just buying gifts of basketball player highlights online. But then he started showing me like how lucrative it was like LeBron James moment selling for$30,000,$40,000. I was like, whoa, that's really cool. And it then he just like made that distinction that it's like you're owning a ba, a basketball card, but it's just online so you don't have the physical card but still shows that you own it. All right? So I was like, all right, that's pretty cool. I might as well start collecting them. So I ape the hell into top shot. And that was back in March, 2021. So like really early into nft.

that's true. I was actually buying a theory on a Bitcoin back in 2017. Just never knew anything about NFTs at the time.

yeah, NFTs is it took me a while to make my way into NFTs, so I've. I've been in the crypto space since like December, 2012 I remember is when I bought my first Bitcoin. And even then it took me a hot minute to, to buy into even I just thought it was like a scam for the longest time, I think is what it

But you still had Bitcoin in 2012.

Yeah. It's you get into these bitcoin maxi echo chambers and of Hard to snap out of there like I was also like, not even, I remember hearing about Ethereum like really early on and I just remember thinking like, why would I get rid of my Bitcoin for Ethereum? Like that sounds dumb.

right? And that's back when it was like 20 cents

Yeah, exactly. It. I don't even, I don't know if it was actually 20 cents when I actually heard about it. I don't think I was that early on, on the Ethereum, but it was definitely a lot cheaper And yeah, it took a while for me to I could grasp like how big of a, an ambition ETH was it's pretty easy to say a forward-looking statement like that. We want to be X and not deliver on it.

But I skillfully bought the top when it did spike in 2017. So I was reeling because it dropped back down Actually went to a thousand bucks and I was like, all right, it's gonna keep going up now. And then I bought a bunch then, and then that's when it dropped from a thousand back to 150 bucks.

Yeah, no, 100%. Man I remember Bitcoin was like a 20 grand and dropped to 500 in the span of six weeks. Which is, that's why these bear markets I think they don't phase me as much as, I mean it still sucks you don't get me wrong. Still sucks. And you try and time the bottom, the quote unquote bottom, but,

But I think right now it's going in tandem with the equities bear market, which kind of sucks cuz then there's gonna be no money to come back into crypto.

I don't know. There's too many to name So after getting out of the top shot and that, that tanked so, so bad because I was spying at the peak then. And by the time I was out of top shot, it was like July, August and I would just, I found Ethereum right. And then I found Ethereum NFTs, and I saw that those was monkeys were so lucrative. But by then they're already, I was already pressed out. So the board apes were like 12 or 12 to 15. So I just got in, I started buying random ass shit. I think the weirdest thing I bought on ETH was I started collecting food macu.

It was pretty interesting. So a lot of the early, the PFPs during the p wave, after the board apes and him, he was like very active in this space. So he would mint these and a lot of the PFP collections would actually have a tribute to him with a food mask, PPF P

like one-on-one. And then I would be like, oh, who is this guy? They keep making PFPs about him in these animal collections. I was like, oh, he actually mins his own. Maybe he'll catch some traction cuz it's unique and different. But it's just guy selling pictures of food on his face.

That's funny. Yeah. So that's if you're early into that stuff. And then on when I got to Ethereum, that was after I got into a lot of failed animal projects and in Ethereum. So I went to Tezos. Because there you could make a lot of mistakes. Were a lot cheaper.

So it was like, I'll just buy anything that I think looks cool. So the very first things I started buying on Tezos were copy mints,

And I found out I find out they're like actually still Ethereum NFTs that just happened to get complimented onto Tezos. That looked really cool. Navigating NFTs and Making Rational Decisions

oh, that's a good question. Don't do what I did. don't fall into the hype. You actually had to make rational decisions for sure. So it was a lot of my early buying was based off of hype, and that never panned out at all. And the most lucrative trades or buys I made in this space were when people weren't actually buying into things. And it was stuff I genuinely liked and enjoyed.

Secret Society of Whales, et cetera, et cetera. They're like all going to zero. And then things I collected from artists, I like they just stay, retain, value

So there's just a lot of really cool artists out there that are really down to earth and just make awesome things. And you can talk to them about it.
